As you know The Río Dorado Lodge, Junin de los Andes, is beautifully situated in the center of Patagonia’s fishing paradise. Within easy reach of the Lodge are the many streams, rivers, and lakes that provide some of the best fly-fishing in the world: the dry fly fishing Malleo River, beautiful Chimehuin River, idyllic little Quilquihue River, the big trout Limay, Alumine, and Collon Cura Rivers. You can also fish the awesomely beautiful Lake Paimun, the salmon infested Currhue Lakes, and the world famous Boca of the Chimehuin, where hundreds of 10, 20, and 25 pound trout have been lost and caught at dawn, over the years. In all there are more than a thousand miles of river and lake shore offering you big Rainbow, Brooks, Browns, and Land-locked Salmon. These marvelous fishing waters are all within 20 miles of The Río Dorado Lodge!.

Our fishing paradise is easily accessible by daily jet flights from Buenos Aires.You can carry out a conección the same day since the airplane that came from International points arrives early in the morning to the Ezeiza Airport and the flight to the Chapelco Airport (San Martin de los Andes) leaves near noon in the Jorge Newbery Airport (domestic Airport of Buenos Aires), the time in a car from an Airport to the other one is of approximately 1:30 hours. The Río Dorado Lodge, with all modern conveniences, is itself worth the trip. Recently constructed in the style of the region, from plantation grown pine logs and native stone, it occupies seven beautiful acres in a park-like atmosphere on the outskirts of Junin de los Andes.
Every morning, enjoy a delicious complementary "country" buffet breakfast in the beautifully appointed dining area in the main lodge. Throughout the day enjoy the cafeteria, sandwich bar and living room. Afternoon tea offers regional sweets and homemade cakes.

The very large comfortable rooms are equipped with individually controlled heat and ventilation, cable TV, mini bar refrigerator, direct-dial national and international phone service, internet connections, and fully modern bathroom facilities.

On the lodge grounds is a complete Fly Shop meeting every fisherman’s needs. Guides and float trips are arranged by the Lodge’s staff, based on more than 40 years of guiding experience. Services include streamside lunches, fly fishing instructions at our own trout pond, and transportation to fishing sites.
The Quincho is the center of Argentine social gatherings. At The Rio Dorado Lodge, in the evening, after a great day of fishing, there is a weekly gathering at the Quincho of all our guests for an "Asado" - the traditional feast of flame-barbecued, grilled, or roasted lamb, venison, goat or farm-raised trout, enjoyed with good music and the finest Argentine wines.
Also available to our guests on the beautifully landscaped grounds is a lovely swimming pool with a large surrounding patio which is a perfect place for a relaxing swim or a cocktail.
